I used quite a bit of yesterday to do some research in various texts. If you read what The Tibetan has to say, he suggests that ambitious selfish materialistic self-advancement is dark, it lays one open to the influences of the dark brotherhood and towards the initiations of the dark side. No this is not Star Wars, but it might be.
In some circles being go-getting, pushy, self-advancing and ruthlessly competitive is seen as a good even desirable thing. Fucking people over is seen as an expression of power. For a number of years, we have had a US president who is / was in my opinion a nasty piece of work. Unfortunately, he is a role model for many. Some will try to emulate him.
I met my first truly nasty piece of work when I was involved in a start-up, he was the CEO. I did not realise until too late that he was a highly manipulative and unpleasant person. Fortunately for me I did not try to emulate him. I had to clear up the lives of a number of people after he fucked them over.
Here is a question many people do not consider.
“Am I being influenced by the dark brotherhood, the dark adepts, without me knowing?”
Of course, there is no such thing, is there? I am just being all Wolf of Wall street. I am justified in my ambitions.
There is an ancillary question.
“If they have their hooks into me, where can I get myself a good exorcist to help me rid?”
The trouble is yellow pages does not list high grade white magic exorcists. Moreover, they need extensive training over many lifetimes.
You can figure out for yourself the degree to which I am making tongue in cheek statements here.
So here is another question.
Is the pursuit of your ambitions, whatever they may be, light or dark, good or evil?
