Glowing Skelton – Third Universe Dream 17-11-2012

Here are some excerpts from what was a lengthy dreaming sequence.

Against a dark backdrop I see an image of myself. I am superimposed upon a glowing skeleton which has pink, fluorescent blood vessels. It is living. The two images or my normal body and the skeleton pulse back and forth in precedence. I am become death the destroyer of worlds.

In the dream I wonder if this is a harbinger of my own death. It is not it has only symbolic value…

—-

I know that the world of this dream in an intermediate world between life and death.

I am shown three worlds as three circles / spheres and written upon each world in dripping pink lettering are the following:

The world of starving Spirits

The world of the Hungry Ghosts

The world of the in between.

I know in the dream that this current universe is the third manifested universe and to understand the true nature of Bardo and Karma I will need to expand my consciousness so that it can stretch backwards to the times of previous universal manifestations. This will be a part of my training.

——

This from 18th May 2012 was more of a vision and seems related to this so I have appended it here:

I see a scene with four “men” dressed in different pastel-coloured robes breaking through into consciousness. They are “pastel” blue, pink, yellow and white, which are mildly and softly radiant.

They are waiting for me on the beach. Their facial features are not easily discernible. They are the four Lords of Karma, the Lipika Lords.

Prarabdha Karma – Bearing Fruit

Prarabdha Karma are the part of sanchita karma, a collection of past karmas, which are ready to be experienced through the present body (incarnation).

According to Sri Swami Sivananda: “Prarabdha is that portion of the past karma which is responsible for the present body. That portion of the sanchita karma which influences human life in the present incarnation is called prarabdha. It is ripe for reaping. It cannot be avoided or changed. It is only exhausted by being experienced. You pay your past debts. Prarabdha karma is that which has begun and is actually bearing fruit. It is selected out of the mass of the sanchita karma.”

Each lifetime, a certain portion of the sanchita karma, most suited for the spiritual evolution at the time, is chosen to be worked out, during the course of the lifetime. Subsequently this Prarabdha Karma creates circumstances which we are destined to experience in our present lifetime, they also place certain limitations via our physical family, body or life circumstances we are born into, as charted in our birth chart or horoscope, collectively known as fate or destiny (determinism).

Kinds of Prarabdha Karma

There are three kinds of Prarabdha karma: Ichha (personally desired), Anichha (without desire) and Parechha (due to others’ desire). For a self-realized person, a Jivan mukta, there is no Ichha-Prarabdha but the two others, Anichha and Parechha, remain, which even a jivan mukta has to undergo.

Expediency versus Karma

Over the last few days or so I have been touching upon choice, decision and truth. People choose their truths and decide how to act apparently upon that basis. They will choose to act in contravention to something which they pertain to believe in, if it is expedient so to do. Immediacy and perceived social immediacy, often dominate in decision making or reactive gratificatory behaviours.

In effect people often take a gamble or place a bet that Karma does not exist, nor will they be judged at the “Pearly Gates” for their actions or their inactions.

They are betting that they can, “get away with it”.

Using the example above, plagiarism seems tempting for short term success. Yet what does this do to the confidence and self worth of those so tempted, in the long run? Sooner or later that which they claim as “theirs”, vanishes. They have but loaned it and often sneakily so, so as to look better than they are, or for pecuniary gain.

If expediency goes wrong there is always the possibility of redemption; an option not known for its popularity. So the bet usually stands until the croupier calls time.

Does expediency always win?

Do I believe in Karma?

What happens when the wheel stops spinning?

Karma and Omnipotence

This is from a previous blog called Karmic Destination

The only constant in the universe is the inevitability of change. That change can take time. History teaches that all empires, even those which consider themselves omnipotent, eventually fall into decadence and complacency. It is not the enemy without which causes the fall, it is the wayward nature of human self interest and greed. This dynamic is played out for global empires whether military or commercial, local organizations or tribes and in domestic relationships. The lure of power and the competition for it, becomes a trap.

People paint omnipotence upon their houses and just like the World Trade Centre of old, that house will eventually come crashing down. History is littered with fallen empire. The lining of pockets and the hedonism of luxury, eat away at the fabric. People, feeling omnipotent rarely see it coming.

Even if they do, they simply pour another gin and tonic, light a cigar and shag themselves silly in the hope it will go away.

The Karma of imagined omnipotence is to have power taken away.

This may be sudden or slow and painful. The scale is global as well as much more local. Success inflates EGO and this bubble, must eventually burst. The hype, the world domination of Brazilian football, has just been grounded, and with a bang. The manager has been sacrificed on the altar. Yet it was not his EGO which brought about the downfall, it was the complacency of shared omnipotence.

The swelling of omnipotence can be found in the heads of many. It creates the illusion of invulnerability. Striving to dominate the world, the market, the minds of others, leads ultimately to downfall. One might succeed for a while but the medicine of reality is not easy to swallow.

The cure for omnipotence is humility; a draft not favoured by many.

Sooner or later, the universe responds to the human arrogance of omnipotence. Perhaps the most temporally powerful individual or our times, Adolf Hitler, learned this with the taste of almonds on his tongue. This individual who strove for omnipotence was fearful and rightfully paranoid. For all the tea in China I would not have his fate.

The lust for power and power over is a part of human learning. It needs to be transcended. There is nothing quite like power for breeding fear in the individual who possesses it. In spinning plates to borrow power over others, the individual colours their life. Power taken and not earned, exacts a terrible price. One can only spin plates for so long before the shit hits the fan. This is always messy!

Those omnipotent beings rarely see the shit coming and can be quite upset when it does come. They then sulk that it is not fair. The amount of mess that comes is in proportion to the lust for power. Few who create the mess, stick around to clear up after them. Not much is heard of omnipotent beings after their fall. They may still flex their muscles from time to time, yet they are weak and many laugh at them.

There are few things that humans cling to more than power.

This is the truth awaiting those who lust for power and in particular, power over. As their skills start to wane, they cling ever more desperately. This is true globally, nationally and in intimate relationships.

Am I invulnerable, even omnipotent? If my power, my position, were taken from me, what would I have left?

The Cause of the Present Crisis

Written circa 1940.

It is well known to you that the great Law of Rebirth is the controlling and major law in all the processes of manifestation. It governs the exoteric expression of a solar Logos or of a human being, and the object of this constantly recurring process is to bring an increasingly perfect form to the expanding service of the soul. For the first time since its inception, the human family is in a position to note for itself the processes of the rebirth of a civilization as an expression of spiritual culture at a particular point in evolution. Hence the magnitude of this crisis as it assumes its place in the human consciousness. Many lesser crises, initiating specific tribal, national and racial experiments in the renewal of form have gone on and have been registered by some group within a nation or by a nation itself (if advanced enough). Such a national registration took place for the first time in connection with the French Revolution. Such registrations of evolutionary intent have taken place with increasing clarity and understanding during the past two hundred years. Such crises have taken place in practically every nation in modern times and have been recognized to some degree, and upon them historians have enlarged and philosophers speculated. But the crisis today is far vaster, embracing as it does the majority of nations in both hemispheres. No nation remains at this time unaffected and the results are and must be registered in some aspect of the national life.

Owing to the factual interrelation between nations everywhere and to the rapidity of inter-communication, the present crisis is the first major international crisis in human affairs and covers a period of twenty-eight years (from 1914 till 1942). These are interesting numbers, for 28 is 4 x 7, which are the years of a complete personality cycle. I do not wish you to infer from the above that the period of active combat and conflict must necessarily be prolonged until 1942. Such is not the case. The early termination of the conflict or its indefinite extension lies in the keeping of humanity itself; men must increasingly determine their own fate as they emerge from the stage of adolescence into that of maturity, responsibility and achievement. This period of twenty-eight years is, however, of paramount importance and upon the next three years much depends.

Again I tell you that even the Hierarchy itself, with all its knowledge, vision and understanding and with all its resources, cannot coerce and cannot forecast what mankind will do. It can and does stimulate to right action; it can and does indicate possibility and responsibility; it can and does send out its teachers and disciples to educate and lead the race; but at no point and in no situation does it command or assume control. It can and does bring good out of evil, illuminating situations and indicating the solution of a problem, but further than this the Hierarchy cannot go. If it assumed authoritative control, a race of automatons would be developed and not a race of responsible, self-directed, aspiring men. This must surely be apparent to you and may serve to answer the question which is uppermost in the minds of the unthinking, occult students today: Why could not the Hierarchy have prevented this catastrophe? Unquestionably the Masters of the Wisdom with Their knowledge and Their command of forces could have interfered, but in so doing They would have broken an occult law and hindered the true development of mankind. This They will never do. At all costs, man must learn to stand and act alone. Instead, having done all that was permissible, They now stand beside suffering and bewildered humanity and – with the deepest compassion and love – will help men to right the wrongs they have initiated, to learn the needed lessons and to come through this crisis (which they have themselves precipitated) enriched thereby, and purified in the fires of adversity. These are not platitudes but eternal truths.

This world crisis, with all its horror and suffering, is – in the last analysis – the result of successful evolutionary processes. We are ready to recognize that when a man’s life cycle has been run and he has learnt the lessons which the experience of any particular life has been intended to teach, his physical body and the inner form aspects (making the sum total of his personality expression) will begin to deteriorate; destructive agencies within the form itself will become active and eventually death will take place, resulting in the liberation of the indwelling life in order that a new and better form may be built. This, we perforce accept either blindly or intelligently, regarding it as a natural and unavoidable process, but normal and inevitable. We are apt, however, to forget that what is true of the individual is true of humanity. Cycles of civilization such as that we call our modern civilization are analogous to a particular, individual, human incarnation with its inception, its progress and growth, its useful maturity and its ensuing deterioration and subsequent death or the passing away of the form.

Forms are ever open to attack. A strong subjective life and spiritual detachment are the two safeguards. Where the form is more potent than the life, danger is imminent; where attachment to the material aspect or organization is present, spiritual values are lost.

Today we are watching the death of a civilization or cycle of incarnation of humanity. In all fields of human expression, crystallization and deterioration had set in. Worn-out religious dogmas and the grip of theology and the orthodox churches have no longer sufficed to hold the allegiance of the potent, inner, spiritual life; humanity is deeply spiritual and innately religious but needs today a new form with which to clothe the ancient verities. Old political schools have been deemed inadequate and new ideologies bear witness to the strength of the life which is seeking more adequate expression; the educational systems, having served their purpose, are fast being recognized as inadequate to meet the need of the demanding life of the race; there is everywhere a cry for change and for those new forms in the religious, political, educational and economic life of the race which will allow of freer and better spiritual expression. Such a change is rapidly coming and is regarded by some as death – terrible and to be avoided if possible. It is indeed death but it is beneficent and needed. It is this realization of the passing of a civilization which gives rise to the recurrent and foreboding cry, “This is the death of civilization; it must not be”; “This is the end of the order, and the old order must be saved”; “This is the destruction of the old and loved values, and it must not be permitted.”

That humanity is bringing about this needed change in unnecessary, cruel and painful ways is indeed true, just as it is true today that human beings by their wrong thinking, foolish habits of physical living and undesirable emotional attitudes do precipitate a final, physical breakdown and eventually death. Nevertheless, for the progress of the soul of the individual and the soul of humanity, death is inevitable, good and necessary; it is also a practice with which we are all most familiar in our own experience and in watching it in others. But we need to remember that the worst death of all (as far as humanity is concerned) would be if a form of civilization or a body form became static and eternal; if the old order never altered and the old values were never transmuted into higher and better ones, that would indeed be a disaster.

We need to bear in mind also that the forces of destruction or death are two-fold: first, the rapidly emerging and developing life with its demand for more room for expression and fuller experience, and its spiritual aspiration for change and progress; and secondly, the reactionary forces and the conservative attitudes which adhere to the well-known and the familiar, and which hate the new, the untried and the unknown. Both of these produce the great and divine transition from the past into the future, and from the old into the new, from experience into fruition and then into experience again. The realities are eternal and undying; the forms are ephemeral and temporary; the soul is persistent and deathless; the form is changing and doomed to die. The processes of evolution have in the past and will in the future prove successful in bringing forms to birth, to maturity and to death.

But (and this is the interesting and significant point) humanity is for the first time, aware of process. It has for the first time chosen intelligently to observe what is going on and to relate it to experience and to environment. This in itself indicates a stage of true and much to be desired development. Reasoning, analysis and the presentation of differing viewpoints are going on in every country on a large scale with varying results, based on differences of temperament, of tradition, of development and of training.

This stage of death and of birth (for the two are proceeding simultaneously) can be easily grasped by the esotericist as he studies the world war in its two distinctive periods: 1914 to 1918, and 1939 until 1942. The first stage (if you could see the situation as it truly is) was most definitely the death stage; the second stage, in which we now find ourselves, is literally the stage of birth – the birth pangs of the new order and of the new civilization through which humanity’s sense of life can express itself. The mother dies in order that the child may live; the form is sacrificed to the life. But today, the form aspect, the Mother or matter aspect, is dying consciously, and just as consciously the child, the infant civilization, is coming into being. This is the new thing and it is in this that we are all participating. It is the death of the personality of humanity and the coming in of the soul.

Such a dying is ever a painful process. Pain has always been the purifying agent, employed by the Lords of Destiny, to bring about liberation. The accumulated pain of the present war and the inherited pain of the earlier stage (begun in 1914) is bringing about a salutary and changing world consciousness. The Lord of Pain has descended from His throne and is treading the ways of earth today, bringing distress, agony and terror to those who cannot interpret His ends, but bringing also a restimulation of the instinct to self-preservation which – in its higher aspect – is the instinct to immortality; it tends to focus humanity’s attention upon the life aspect and not upon the form. The names of the Lords of Karma signify, symbolically and from the angle of their inner meaning, Relationship, Enlightenment, Pain and Return. Ponder on this. They are all peculiarly active at this time, and in their activity lies the hope of humanity.

Echoes or Residual Fate?

I have a notion that sometimes a life event of some significance has an echo a number of years later. That echo may be a reminder of the previous event and perhaps the need to recapitulate it or it may be an indicator of residual fate, some stuff that must get done in a given lifetime. It is difficult to differentiate between these two themes. The only real indicator is the relative permanence. The echo will fade faster than residual fate.

If for example, we were fated to meet then that fate would keep presenting until we did. If we had learning to do together, the universe would bring us together, whether we liked it or not.

It is easy to get into a mind spin considering lost opportunities, squandered fate and the like.

My dream yesterday is pointing me back to a particular time of life. The time when I was exploring spirituality. At the time I was a can of Red Stripe and a spliff, {several} sort of guy. What I noted in many of the so-called spirituality gigs was that there were a lot of “grey hairs” as in people. The gatherings were conducted, smoke free, with a cup of tea and a cucumber sandwich. Much like high tea at a boarding school or at the church centre after service. Others were obsessed with vegetarianism and healthy eating. There was a lot of polite small talk and it seemed to me a holier than thou mentality. I was in my thirties. I thought to myself; “If you guys are recruiting and trying to get people to join your ageing organisation, this is not the way to do it, time-warp city Arizona.” Some tried to evangelize vegetarianism to me. This didn’t impress the then hardcore vegan.

Unless you are really perverted the attitude of a boarding school Matron all name tags in underpants etc. is not overly attractive. Grannies telling you how to behave isn’t alluring.

And now I am that age myself.

What do I see? I see the “youth” apparently obsessed with their ‘phones and their image. If I was thirty years younger, I might even be sending dick picks to potential girlfriends. I too have become a dinosaur.

I have postulated that my recent patent application is little more than an echo of events 20 years previous. In a similar way the post of Toltec things yesterday is contemporary of that ancient phase space too.

Everybody has to gain life experience to learn and maybe it is only when one has messed up a sufficient number of times that one really turns towards learning. So maybe spirituality is a property of age? I hope not.

If I was cynical, I could get someone to write some spirituality app. and then flog it on the internet.

The question is will that phase space re-phase into an echo or actual residual fate, work to do before I shuffle of the mortal coil and pop my clogs, kick the bucket etc.

The Karma of Smugness and Gloating

Do you think that being smug and gloating are good things to do?

I have been getting slightly concerned about how the vaccine rich are boasting about how well they are doing.

“Look at us aren’t we great everybody else is pants.”

“Those pesky Europeans have f£$%ed it up!”

“My aren’t we clever.”

This is very separative. It is in many ways throwing down the gauntlet to the universe to offer a karmic response.

What we don’t often see in national news is the global charts. This one is from Reuters.

If there are >600,000 new infections per day that is plenty to sample the phase space of viral mutation. Some mutations must be more probable than others. Sampling > 3 million infections per week will find new mutations of unknown transmissibility and which may not be prone to the antibodies produced by the current vaccines.

The world is interconnected probably best not to stick one’s head up one’s own arse.

It could get very groundhog.

Hmnn.

The Karma of Secrets

The first thing to say abouts secrets is that they all in some way itch, they itch at being. The second thing to say is that secrets bind. Secrets also have a tendency to infect and cause fear in their purveyors. They nearly always generate new Karma to be worked with and sometimes, though not always, have a habit of surfacing at the most inconvenient of times. Some secrets are carried to the grave. Organisations, governments and people use secrets when they think it expedient. Avoiding a problem today often stores it up for tomorrow.

People are fascinated by secrets. Fascination binds.

This fascination is by way of a glamour and an attachment. Because most know that secrets are “naughty” they come with a certain salaciousness and a sense of privilege. Some how the possessors and purveyors of secrets are better than others, they are in the know, others are in the dark.

Exactly who is in the dark and who is in the light, is a moot point, often unconsidered.

From a point of liberation what is most germane is their binding conspiratorial nature. If you share a secret, you share the breath of that secret, you conspire and breathe it together. Whispers in the dark, keep you in the dark, for fear of light.

The two major causes of secrets are lack of impeccability and lack of courage. If you are impeccable there is never any need for secrets.

Anything, any act, which binds you, is not good for liberation.

I suspect that there is not a being alive who has never lied nor never held a secret, at some stage or another. It is the Karma, the Dharma, of holding a secret that needs learned from. There is nothing quite like real life experience to teach.

The cure for secrets is impeccability.

It is as simple as this. If you are utterly impeccable you will never feel the need to lie or hold secrets. You may not feel the urge to spill the beans on everything you know, yet if the time to speak on it comes, there is no secret, no attachment.

People are attached to secrets. Beings often cannot move past a secret. They are log jams in evolution.

Often the secret, held deep and hidden, is no way near as bad as people have built it up to be. Its revelation seldom causes a tsunami nor the explosion of the sun. Some secrets are bad and these eat and itch at the being all of their lives.

Secrets cause suffering!

It is a matter for each individual as to which secrets they keep. One could try airing a few of these to see if God strikes you down. Theory has it He knows in any case. Much of the suffering associated with secrets is SELF generated for the SELF is what keeps or shares secrets, so as to bolster its SELF IMAGE.

As I have mentioned before, Karma is for learning by and from.

Have I ever kept a secret? Have I shared secrets about others? What have I learned through this? What am I still learning from this?

Revenge and Karma

As far as I can tell, on our beautiful planet, there is only one species which engages in acts of “REVENGE” and that is, the human species. Revenge as a concept and a practice, is a human invention and one which appears to have remarkable longevity. It pertains not only to individuals but tribes, races and nations. If it serves any biological evolutionary purpose whatsoever, it limits the number of incarnate beings by wiping a number of them out locally and in great swathes, globally.

The major problem with acts of revenge is that they never solve problems or remove apparent grievance. Of all things Karmic, revenge is perhaps the most cyclic. Any act of revenge leads with inevitability, to further acts of revenge. Cycles of revenge propagate through years, decades and even centuries. A little thought on the matter will demonstrate with clarity that revenge, causes more revenge.

As a motif it is the stuff of novels, films, drama and art. It is odd that people want to get even. There is a peculiar salacious human desire for retribution. This perhaps is sourced in the Abrahamic dispensation underpinning a number of pseudo-religious schools of thought. Nothing is subject to greater justification than acts of revenge.

“They had it coming” says the omniscient God in the EGO of humanity as it tries, sentences and punishes other beings. As judge, jury and executioner it rubs its hands with glee as it carries out sentence.

Revenge generates Karma.

If you are unable to rise above this strange desire for revenge you will be trapped by it, perhaps forever. The fruit you partake of will be flavoured with anger and tinged with bitter hatreds. There is no spiritual nourishment in food such as this.

Within the cesspit of the mind of human EGOs lurks a morass of toxic thought. Were humanity to read the private worlds beyond the social veneer it would see a veritable never ending list of grievances and unpleasant thoughts, harboured there. There are many who would take a voodoo dolly of their imagined enemies and exact fully justified vengeance. This revenge might be physical, mental or sexual. Here amongst the baser and darker side of humanity some rather primeval desires fester and grow. The so called “civilised” human glorifies and justifies these to themselves. The vengeful being paints itself as a righteous one, bearing perhaps the fiery sword of God with which to smite down transgressors. There are few who see themselves as a zombie caught up in a never ending cycle of tit for tat, eye for an eye or tooth for a tooth. It is not very grown up nor evolved.

Such behaviour is not intelligent nor is it considered.

By thinking of and enacting revenge you are making a deposit in the Karmic Bank, so to speak. This is held in your account by the universe and it gains interest. It is by way of an accumulator. This bank stores across lifetimes and pays out a dividend from time to time, with interest accrued.

It is in retirement from the busy world, as the body loses function, that many fall back upon their investment account. Their physical power begins to fail as does mental acuity and despite the hubris, all become weaker and more feeble as the sands of time ebb away. The force and vigour with which revenge had been propagated wanes and the being, to a greater or lesser extent, becomes dependent upon the good will of others.

Here, having won many friends through acts of vengeance the being introverts and begins to see with eyes less clouded with anger, the price that revenge has exacted upon its life, both as a donor and a recipient. The scales of time are tipping and the scales of eye start to slip.

Revenge pertains to petty human EGO and not to SOUL.

Unless a being can listen to the emanations of the SOUL it is trapped by the petty whims of EGO. It is the Karma of all SOULS to struggle to overcome EGO. It is a battle in which the vast majority of humanity have a long way to go. Most SOULS are dominated and subjugated by the EGO vehicle into which they incarnate.

As the grip of the EGO loosens near end of life, it is that part of being which becomes ever more fearful. It knows it has skeletons in the closet and demons under the bed. The EGO fears the end of its malicious empire and does not wish to let go of its tyranny. Yet the deposits in the Bank of Karma cannot be spontaneously unstored at the whim of EGO. The bank makes payment as and when the universe advises.

The pressing apparent immediacy of revenge has lasting effects; ones which manifest at inconvenient times. The SOUL learns that it must strive ever harder to discipline EGO and it learns painfully. The SOUL being group conscious does not have revenge as a part of its make up.

Revenge is an invention of the petty human EGO.

This invention has caused untold hardship though millenia and although painted as glamorous, it is anything but. It is primitive and destructive. It has the maturity of sulky three year olds who do not get their OWN way.

The next time you feel the desire for revenge ask your self this;

“Who seeks revenge, is it my offended self-important EGO or the core of my being, my SOUL, the real me?”

Unresolved Issues – Recapitulation

“You must recapitulate your entire life right from this moment all the way back to the instant of your birth. Otherwise, you will forever remain a clown re-enacting your folly.”

This is paraphrase of one of the key Toltec Aphorisms.

Here is my summary recapitulation map which was drawn from similar maps prepared for each year of my life.

Life can also be presented as a learning journey. My whole life began to pivot in 1995-6 around my crisis point.

I found drawing the map with key life events placed in chronological order helped me get my head round my life.  To make sense of it and then to stop trying to make sense, stop making sense.

I’ll make a wager that most people have some unresolved issues, which continue to bug them from time to time and as a consequence they have a button. Say one has resentment about a given situation and from time-to-time festers on it. All someone has to do is press this button, even by accident, and off one trots into rage and disproportionate emotive behaviour. This is because one has not been able to resolve a certain “thing” and even when one revisits it there is a tendency to indulge rather than face up to one’s own role in a situation. People blame more readily than accept their part. Until one can gain a measure of objectivity about what has transpired there will always be a button. That button could cause mild anger or metaphorical nuclear attack.

There are other versions including melancholy etc..

One can make mind-maps as a method of self-analysis.

Any button, any unresolved issue is a marker of work still to be done, which may / may not be of karmic nature. Rather than avoid them and pretend they are not there it is best to approach these buttons and try to figure out why there is a button, or a hang up. This requires above all honesty but also courage.

I heard once enlightenment loosely defined as having no hang-ups. In other words, no karma to work on.

Have you got unresolved issues?

If so, are you going to try to resolve them?
